The Green Door

Terms of Use

The agreement between you and The Green Door.

Last updated: August 25, 2026

Legal entity: Green Door Industries LLC
Website: greendoorindustries.com
Contact: gweeks@greendoorindustries.com

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Green Door Industries LLC (“The Green Door,” “we,” “us”) governing use of greendoorindustries.com, our mobile app, and related services (the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and the incorporated documents listed in Section 1.1. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1.1 Incorporated Documents

The following documents are part of this agreement by reference, and apply specifically to businesses, hosts, and owners applying for listing or verification:

Keeping these as separate, incorporated documents lets us update badge criteria and evidence requirements as the program matures without altering the core Terms every user has already accepted.

  • Host & Business Verification Framework — defines the Black-Owned and Allied verification standards, eligibility criteria, submission process, and monitoring/appeal rules.
  • Any applicable Attestation Forms signed as part of the verification process.
  • Community Guidelines — standards for posts, comments, reviews, and profiles on the Platform (available at /community-guidelines).

2. Who Can Use the Platform

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. Consumers and travelers of all backgrounds are welcome to browse and engage. Businesses, hosts, and owners of any race, ethnicity, or background may apply to be listed; the optional Black-Owned and Allied badges are separate, voluntary designations described in the Host & Business Verification Framework and open on their own stated terms.

3. The Green Door’s Role — Directory, Not a Party to Transactions

The Platform is an informational directory and verification layer. We do not take reservations, process payments, hold funds, or act as agent, broker, or escrow.

  • In the mobile app, buttons such as “Get tickets on partner site” or “Book on partner site” open an external website. Payment and fulfillment happen with that partner, not inside The Green Door app.

4. What “Verified” and “Allied” Mean

A Green Door badge indicates only that a business completed a relevant application, attestation, and review process with us at a point in time — and nothing more. Badges are status designations, not contracts, prizes, or exchanges of consideration, and confer no cash value, exclusivity, or obligation beyond continued eligibility. We do not warrant that verification will identify past misconduct or prevent future misconduct, and we do not verify the physical safety of any property or the conduct of any person. Badge status may change or be revoked per the Verification Framework. “Allied” indicates a documented commitment to fair service and never states or implies Black ownership.

5. Accounts & Your Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information and keep your login secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms.
  • Businesses are responsible for the accuracy of listings and for their own legal compliance, licensing, taxes, and insurance.
  • You may delete your account at any time in the mobile app under Settings → Delete Account, on the web at https://greendoorindustries.com/delete-account, or by emailing privacy@greendoorindustries.com.

6. Acceptable Use & Bad-Faith Reports

You agree not to: misuse or disrupt the Platform; submit false, infringing, hateful, harassing, or unlawful content; scrape or harvest data without permission; impersonate others; attempt unauthorized access; or use the Platform to discriminate unlawfully.

6.1 Reporting, blocking & moderation

The Platform includes user-generated content (including community posts, comments, reviews, and profiles). Posts, comments, reviews, and profile text are screened against a prohibited-term list and rejected before they are published. You can report objectionable content and block other users from the mobile app. Our team reviews reports and aims to respond within 24 hours. We may remove content or deactivate accounts that violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

Published contact for safety and support concerns: support@greendoorindustries.com.

7. User & Business Content

You retain ownership of content you submit, and grant The Green Door a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and promote that content for the purpose of operating the Platform. You represent that you have the rights to the content (including names, logos, and images) you submit.

7.1 Third-Party Content & Section 230

Listings, reviews, and other materials are provided by businesses and users. The Green Door is an interactive computer service provider and, to the maximum extent permitted by law (including Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, 47 U.S.C. § 230), is not the publisher or speaker of, and is not liable for, third-party content.

7.2 Intellectual Property & DMCA

The Green Door’s name, logos, badges, and original content are our intellectual property. We maintain a notice-and-takedown process consistent with the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512). Claimed infringement: legal@greendoorindustries.com.

8. Service Provided “As Is”

9. Limitation of Liability

10. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to release, defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The Green Door and its officers, owners, employees, and agents from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your interactions or transactions with any business or user.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Platform or its community. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before starting a formal proceeding, you agree to contact us at legal@greendoorindustries.com and try to resolve the dispute informally. If we cannot resolve it, the dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration in Atlanta, Georgia, except where prohibited by law. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court instead of arbitration.

13. Changes & Contact

We may update these Terms and will revise the “Last Updated” date; continued use means you accept them. Questions: legal@greendoorindustries.com.
